One of my favorite apex predators of the avian variety. Gorgeous looking creatures, but they can be quite vicious. They hunt rodents, and I think they also eat snakes too.

Owls are one of my favorite predators. Silent, flying, invisible killing machines

I like the way they glide silently through the forest, and their interesting and unique calls.

The funniest is the eastern screech owl. The first time I heard it, I was like, "There's no way that there's a horse out there running wild in the woods. "

I think this is so... surreal and mysterious.

it's like some sort of harbinger.
