Alright well I'm Australian, and "the works" appears to be a little different here than in the US perhaps. Especially with the added pineapple and beetroot here haha.

Bun
bbq and tomato sauce mix
lettuce
tomato
beetroot
mince patty
tasty cheese
fried egg
pinapple ring
caramelised onion
bbq and tomato sauce mix
burger bun

mmmmmmmmmm heart attack.

A beetroot!?!? You Aussies are crazy! Crazy I say! :newwink:

Bottom of bun.
Mayo.
Burger, well done.
Ketchup.
Sweet pickle relish.
Slice of oso sweet or vidalia onion.
Slice of tomato, lightly salted.
A dab of yellow mustard on the top bun. Preferably sesame bun, btw.

Medium-rare beef
Bun
BACON
Cheddar cheese
Lettuce
Chipotle/any kind of sauce with a kick

What the hell is wrong with some of you!? Well done beef? Might as well eat a brick.

that is a little slice of heaven right there! a perfect burger.

i say that a good burger has to have something pulling it all together, it's got to have one (maybe 2) key ingredient. that is how it works. one thing that defines its burgerness, and then just a couple of other complimentary ingredients. not just hog-wild throwing everything on it.

like, a bacon/cheddar burger,
a BBQ sauce burger
a green chili burger (chili-peppers)
a mushroom burger,
etc. and so on...

And Kingfisher, the mayo goes on the bun, crazy man! If you put the lettuce first, everything will slide around.

the sauce always goes on last! on top of everything, right before the top bun. the lettuce is always the last ingredient, and the sauce is on top of that. nothing will convince me otherwise. ;)
my wife says sauce first too. you people...

and the proper way to cook beef is BLOODY. not rare, bloody. ;)
i had a friend who always used to say, "give it to me with horns still attached." absolutely right.

A burger is simply not a burger without beetroot! :newwink:

crazy! i have never tried that!

Who's ready for more food porn?!

Only Burger (Durham, NC) : VendrTV | VendrTV - Eat the street!

This is a food truck that roams about near where I live. They're currently #1 in the running to be on the next season of Food Network's "The Great Food Truck Race." I've never been but now I'm on a mission. I MUST try that "breakfast burger."

I'm pretty old school and simple, cheese and tomato relish.

OR lettuce, tomato, pickle, burger sauce.

Although I've got to say that wusabi mayo is new to me and I'm love to try that. I'd also love to try ghost peppers.

Nooooo! Theme burgers?! I hate theme burgers! What are you talking about, "key ingredient"? The key ingredient is the beef! :D I can do bacon/cheddar, but ... if you want BBQ sauce, get a pulled pork sammich, and mushrooms go on steaks, and chilies go on ... rellenos or something.
