    Default Kyuuei's Cook book!

    Because cooking is so fun! or at least, eatting what you cooked is..

    Just a place mainly where I can keep a digital record of any recipes I like and want to keep. but feel free to use them yourselves or ask/add.

    I'll start out with what I originally wanted to categorize:

    Category: Drinks.

    Hot Cocoa Mix
    Calories: no clue
    Source: Ren Fest recipe

    Powdered Milk - 10.5 cups
    Coffeemate (any flavor) - 1.75 cups
    Powdered Cocoa (the recipe calls for nestle) - 2.75 cups
    Powdered Sugar - .75 cups

    Mix together well, serve 1/2 cup to 8-10 oz of hot water.

    Venetian Sipping Chocolate
    Calories: no clue
    Source: Ren Fest recipe

    Larger batch recipe in ()'s
    Instant chocolate pudding mix - 3.9oz (5.9oz)
    Powdered Milk - 2/3 cup (1 cup)
    Coffeemate - 2 tbsp (3tbsp)
    Vanilla Powder - 1 tsp (1.5 tsp)
    Almond flavor - 1/8 tsp (3/16tsp)

    Mixed and added to 2.25 (3 3/8) c water.

    Strawberry Lemonade
    Calories: No clue, but it rocks
    Source: Ren fest recipe

    Sugar water - 3/4 cup (how to make sugar water: 1part water 2 part sugar)
    3 lemons juiced
    Club soda - 1 1/2 cup
    12 large strawberries
    Ice - 3 cups

    Blend together.

    Russian Tea
    Calories: no clue
    Source: Ren Fest recipe.

    Tang - 2 cups
    Instant Lemonade Mix - 3 cups
    Instant Tea - 1 cup
    Sugar - 1 cup
    1 tsp each of: Cinnamon, ground cloves, and ground ginger

    Blend 2-3 tsps of mix with 8 oz of hot water.

    Awesome recipes that I fear losing if the site gets torn down. I plan on trying all of these eventually. I'm not much of a drinker so it'll take a while.

    Cocktails

    Waltz on the Moon
    •1 cl Bols Lychee
    •1 cl Bols Banana
    •3 cl Apple Juice
    •2 cl Orange Juice
    Directions: Shake with ice and strain into Cocktail glass.
    Garnish: One lime wedge
    Notes: Loosely inspired by the 'Melow Martini'.

    Cactuar
    •1 cl Gold Tequila
    •2 cl Bols Blue
    •2½ cl Orange Juice
    •2 cl Pineapple Juice
    •1 cl Lime
    •1 cl Cointreau
    Directions: Shaken and put into a Highballs Glass filled with ice cubes
    Garnish: One orange wedge
    Notes: Loosely inspired by the 'Cactus Jack'.

    Life Stream
    •4 cl Barcardi Lemon
    •1 cl Peppermint Green
    •3 cl Apple Juice
    •1 cl Lime
    •Sprite
    Directions: Shake first with the top 4 ingredients. Then top up with Sprite in a Highballs Glass filled with ice cubes.
    Notes: Mix the Life Stream and One-Winged Angel to get a Corrupted Life Stream.

    Ultima
    •1 cl Malibu
    •1½ cl Sourz Apple
    •1 cl Vodka
    •1 cl Southern Comfort
    •1 cl Heering Cherry Liqueur
    •3 cl Orange Juice
    •1½ cl Pine Apple Juice
    •¼ cl Grenadine
    Directions: Shake. Serve with ice.

    Moogle
    •1½ cl Bols Strawberry
    •1½ cl Bols Raspberry
    •1 cl Peach
    •5 cl Milk
    •Whipped Cream
    Directions: Shake the first 4 ingredients with ice and top up with whipped cream.

    Summoner Yuna
    •2 cl Gin
    •1 cl Galliano
    •Sprite
    •1 cl Passoã
    Directions: Pour gin and galliano in a Highballs Glass filled with ice cubes. Fill up with Sprite and top up with the Passoã.
    Notes: Loosely inspired by the 'South Pacific Breeze'.

    Aerith “Virgin”
    •3 cl Cranberry Juice
    •5 cl Apple Juice
    •1 cl Lime Juice
    •1½ cl Grenadine
    •Ginger Ale
    Directions: Shake first 4 ingredients. Top up with ginger ale.
    Garnish: Three lime wedges put into drink

    Diamond Dust
    •3 cl Smirnoff Green Apple Twist
    •2 cl White Rum
    •Sprite
    Directions: Shake first 2 ingredients and strain them into a Cocktail glass. Then top up with Sprite.
    Garnish: Crushed ice

    Diamond Dust Version 2
    •1½ cl White mint liqueur
    •2 cl Smirnoff Vodka Citros
    •2 cl Tinned Lychee
    •Top up with Club Soda
    Directions: Shake first 3 ingredients and strain them into a Cocktail glass. Then top up with Club Soda.
    Garnish: Crushed ice
    Note: Smirnoff Green Apple Twist can be used instead of Citros

    YRP aka The Sphere Hunters
    •2 cl Dark Rum
    •2 cl Bols Peach
    •2 cl Passoã
    •5 cl Apple Juice
    Directions: Shake. Serve with ice in Highballs Glass.
    Garnish: Two lime wedges put into cocktail

    YRP aka The Sphere Hunters Version 2
    •2 cl Gin
    •1 cl Bols Lychee
    •2 cl Passoã
    •6 cl Apple Juice
    Directions: Shake. Serve with ice in Highballs Glass.
    Garnish: Two lime wedges put into cocktail
    Note: Has a smoother taste than the original

    Liberi Fatali
    •2 cl Triple Sec
    •2 cl Bols Crème de Cassis
    •3 cl Cherry Liqueur
    •5 cl Cranberry Juice
    •3 cl Apple Juice
    •¼ cl Grenadine
    Directions: Shake. Serve with ice in Highballs Glass.
    Garnish: One lime wedges put into cocktail

    Corrupted Life Stream
    •1 Life Stream
    •1 One-Winged Angel
    Directions: Pour shot into drink.

    Shooters

    Phoenix Down
    •1 cl Cointreau
    •1 cl Tequilla
    •1 cl Orange Juice
    •½ cl Grenadine
    Directions: Shake the first 3 ingredients. Then pour Grenadine into Shot.
    Notes: This drink was inspired by our Bowser drink from the Mario Theme.

    One Winged Angel Aka Sephiroth
    •1 cl Grenadine
    •1 cl Hot n’ Sweet
    •1 cl Dark Rum
    Directions: Layered into a Shot Glass.
    Notes: Mix the Life Stream and One-Winged Angel to get a Corrupted Life Stream.

    Limit Breaker
    •1½ cl Bols Peppermint Green
    •1 cl Bols Peach
    •1 cl Vodka
    Directions: Shake ingredients. Pour into shot glass.

    Hell Fire
    •1 cl Tomato Juice
    •1 cl Vodka
    •1 cl Orange Juice
    •3-4 drops Tabasco
    Directions: Shake all ingredients and pour into a Shots Glass.
    Notes: This drink was made by a friend of the bar: Martin Colith. He was inspired by the Bloody Mary.

    Red XIII
    •1 cl Tequila
    •1 cl Heering Cherry Liqueur
    •1 cl Grenadine
    Directions: Shake all ingredients and pour into a Shots Glass.

    The first time I had one my brother bought it for all of us at my sister's wedding's after party. It totally rocked my world, probably my favorite shot I've ever taken.

    Category: Drinks

    Aztec Hot Chocolate Mix
    Hot Cocoa mix (from above) - 1/2 cup (10cups)
    Vanilla Powder - 1/8tsp (2.5 tsp)
    Cinnamon - 1/4 tsp (5 tsp)
    Cocoa Powder - 1/4 tsp (5 tsp)
    Ground Chili Pepper - 1/12 tsp (1.5 tsp)

    Fruit Frappes
    (Insert fruit of your choice) Juice - 1/3 cup
    water - 1/3 cup
    Frappe Mix - .25 cup
    Ice - 1 cup
    Insert a few pieces of fruit of your choice here

    Blend together.

    Gonna drift away from drinks for just a moment to record these cakes!

    Category: Cakes and Desserts

    Texas Chocolate Cinnamon Cake
    Calories: Probably more than healthy.. or even necessary.
    Source: another Ren Fest Recipe

    Flour - 2 cups
    sugar - 2 cups
    Butter - 1/2 cup
    Cocoa - 4 Tbsp
    Water - 1 cup
    Shortening - 1/2 cup
    Buttermilk - 1/2 cup
    Eggs - 2
    Vanilla - 1 tsp
    Baking Soda - 1 tsp
    Cinnamon - 1 tsp
    Cayenne Pepper - 1/2 tsp

    1. Mix Flour and sugar. Separately, mix butter, cocoa, water and shortening in a small pot. Bring to a boil, and then pour over flour and sugar.
    2. Add rest of the ingredients and mix well.
    3. Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.

    For Icing:
    Butter - 1/2 cup
    Cocoa - 4 tbsp
    Milk - 6 tbsp
    Vanilla - 1 tsp
    Powdered Sugar - 1 lb
    Cayenne Pepper - 1/4 tsp

    Combine dry ingredients. Melt butter with cocoa, milk, and vanilla. Pour over dry ingredients and beat well.

    Gingerbread
    Calories: I'm going with fattening.

    Oil - 1 cup
    Steen's Syrup - 1 cup
    Buttermilk - 1 cup
    Eggs - 2
    Vanilla - 1 tsp
    Baking Soda - 1 tsp
    Sugar - 1 cup
    Flour - 2 cups
    Salt - 1 tsp
    Cinnamon - 4 tsp
    Ginger - 2 tsp
    Clove and Allspice - 1 tsp each

    Combine Soda and Buttermilk. Then add eggs and blend. Add oil, syrup, and vanilla. Slowly add dry ingredients. Bake 45-50 min at 325 degrees.

    Italian Creme Cake
    Calories: The recipe starts out asking for 1/2 lb of butter....

    Butter - 1/2 lb
    Eggs - 5, whites and yolk separated
    Baking soda - 1 tsp
    Buttermilk - 1 cup
    Sugar - 2 cups
    Flour - 2 1/2 cups
    Vanilla - 1 Tbsp

    Combine butter and sugar and blend well. Add egg yolks. Separately, combine vanilla and buttermilk. Add flour slowly to both, and then combine. Beat egg whites until stiff and fluffy, and fold into the batter. Bake 350 degrees for 35 min.

    Hampton Court Cake (Also called a Pumpkin Upside down cake)
    Calories: Probably even worse than the last one, I'd say.

    Butter, unsalted - 4 oz
    Butter - 3 tbsp
    Brown sugar - 1 cup firmly packed
    (I leave out the dried cranberries and pecans. bleh. but if you want them its 2cups and 1 cup respectively)

    Flour - 2.25 cups
    Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
    Baking powder - 2.25 tsp
    Cinnamon - 1.5 tsp
    Ground Nutmeg - 3/8 tsp
    Ginger - 3/4 tsp
    All spice - 1/4 tsp
    Ground clove - 1/4 tsp
    Salt - 1/2 tsp
    Butter (again?!) - 1/4 cup
    Shortening - 1/4 cup
    Sugar - 1.25 cup
    Vanilla - 1 tsp
    Eggs - 2
    Pumpkin Puree - 1/2 cup and 3 tsp
    Buttermilk - 3/4 cup

    Melt unsalted butter, butter and brown sugar in sauce pan until combined (this is where you'd add those cranberries and pecans) and pour into parchment lined 9" x 13" pan.
    Stir together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, ginger, allspice, cloves, and baking soda and set aside.
    Beat 1/4 cup butter and shortening on medium until blended. Add sugar and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, blending within each addition. Add pumpkin. Alternate adding buttermilk and flour mixture, beating after each addition.
    Carefully pour batter over brown sugar topping. Bake 40-45 minutes (I'm assuming on 350 degrees) and let cool 5 minutes and flip cake over.

    Category: Cheese

    Slator's Cheese Loaf
    Calories: It's velveeta...
    Source: Ren Fest Recipe.

    Makes 2 logs.
    Velveeta cheese - 1 lb
    Cream cheese - 3 oz
    Garlic Powder - 1 tsp
    Pecans (or nut of choice) - 2 cups chopped
    Chilli powder and paprika

    Melt cheeses and blend. Add powder and pecans. Cover and cool. Roll into two logs, and coat outside with chili powder and paprika. Store in wax paper.

    Herbed Cheese Spread
    Calories: Whatever calories cream cheese has, but this recipe rocks.
    Source: the LAST ren fest recipe I think

    Makes 3 cups.
    Cream cheese - 1 lb softened
    Unsalted butter - 1 cup softened
    Garlic - 2 crushed cloves
    Fresh Oregano - 4 tsp minced
    Fresh thyme - 2 tsp minced
    Fresh Marjoram - 2 tsp minced
    Fresh Basil - 2 tsp minced
    Fresh Dill - 2 tsp minced
    Fresh Ground pepper - 1 tsp
    (Reduce all herbs by half if using dried instead of fresh)

    Combine cheese and butter, and then add all ingredients mixing well. Store overnight covered to let flavors absorb.

    The Renaissance festival in plantersville, Tx.

    Its amazing. I work there, is why I have the recipes. I especially recommend the Russian tea.
