homemade chicken noodle soup

yesterday I roasted a chicken and then cooked down the bones into a stock overnight in the slow cooker... today I made noodles from scratch and added in the left over chicken that I'd shredded and some acceptable vegetables and carrots (not an acceptable vegetable)... it turned out pretty damned fantastic

Made a fried rice thing last night, vegetarian, which my bf added quorn mince and veg stock to. I also flavoured it with soy sauce and garlic paste. Was pretty yummy!

I made a bastardized "scotch egg". Soft boiled egg, inside an avocado, wrapped in proscuitto. Then egg wash, flour (may need to repeat for coverage) add panko. Quickly fry to brown panko.

mozzarella filled meatballs with sauce and pasta... felt lazy and did not make the pasta from scratch this time  I did make the meatballs and sauce from scratch though!

which reminds me of the time we had a pig that had gotten caught under its mother's hoof as a piglet and had a huge scar down his back that made him undesirable to the sales lot, so we ate him... my mom made jokes about things being made from scratch for months

EJCC's Working-From-Home Well-I-Guess-This-Is-All-Lying-Around Might-As-Well-Combine-It Snack

- Heat up leftover seasoned black beans
- Fry an egg
- Heat up some frozen roasted corn
- Combine in a bowl
- Add sriracha
- Look for salsa
- Find salsa that has mold in it
- Yell "NOPE" and throw it away
- Add more sriracha instead
- Enjoy!

Baked Pear, Chocolate & Hazelnut Oatmeal {Vegan, GF} - Izy Hossack - Top With Cinnamon

Alterations:

- Doubled the recipe and cooked it in a regular sized cast iron skillet
- Used walnuts instead of hazelnuts
- Used semisweet chocolate instead of dark, because that's what I had lying around
- Flat-out ignored the sugar, so I could top it with either maple syrup or brown sugar when it was done cooking
- Didn't soak the oats, because that does nothing

Friggin delicious. When you add maple syrup, it tastes like a nuttier and more nutritious version of chocolate chip pancakes. But with pears.

Using dark chocolate next time, though.
