I'm kind of torn, so I'll make a list in no particular order:

I guess i like them for the nostalgic value, but also their simplicity. (i guess some don't count as flowers, but whatever!)

Water lilies because they are so achingly beautiful

But I also love sunflowers because they are so happy, daffodils because they are so pristinely and perkily yellow and those terrible rainbow daisies grocery stores sell because they make me smile

AND lily of the valley because they look so sweet, honeysuckle because you can eat them, magnolias because of their lemon-y smell, cherry blossoms because they are delicate, columbines because they are interesting yet elegant and ranunculus, bells of ireland, peonies, fuchsias, bleeding hearts and begonias!

I love flowers

One long white Calla Lily in a long black vase. Perfection at its finest.

The rose, without a doubt. A seemingly unoriginal and boring answer but it's undeniable -- they simply look the prettiest and smell the best. White, pink, red, yellow, coral, doesn't matter the color.

Also the Lotus flower

I'm going to have to say the tulips next to my house. What started out as a patch of three the first year, is now 15. I mowed them under the first two years, they grew back with a vengence. I have to admire their spirit. Soon they'll outnumber the weeds. The invasion will begin. I may need some fertilizer.

The neighbors won't know what hit them. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Probably the Lotus because it represents inner and outer peace and because of how beautiful it is.
Also the Bauhinia blakeana (National Flower of Hong Kong) is one of my favorites.

Beautiful. Hawaii's State Flower

I always found Hawaii so beautiful and i feel this flower has earned it's title as it's state flower. It's so exotic and enchanting :wubbie:.

Lilies... Esp water lilies... something about them is ethereal and dreamy.. I think this is why they are closely associated with death and transition! :wubbie:

Blue Bonnets

They're sentimental.

Some of my earliest memories, when my mother was still alive, were walking with her in fields of Blue Bonnets.
