I'd be lion if I said it wasn't pretty impressive. I bet he has a ton of pride in what he does. In a split second though it could be all over, Irwin style. Pretty cool nonetheless.

I think that's such a great thing. I know It'd make me feel even more strongly towards animal rights, in general. What pride he must have..and you know what? if he truly loves these animals and really has pride in his work, and if he did die, it wouldn't have been for nothing..he would have done something real, and he'd probably be happy. I can't think of a better way to die..doing what you absoutely love, like Steve Irwin.

Yeah, I guess when you love something that much, you put your pride into doing it, even if death is a possibility. Seems pretty far-fetched, and maybe not everyone feels that way? But it's all I know and understand- dying doing something you love would be an amazing way to go.

I foresaw grave tidings in the young lion whisperers future, perhaps a vicious attack..but not from a lion.

I saw one of the documentaries on him and his lions. It was quite impressive. I was touched by how much he cares for those animals.

I'm ok with him and the big kitties, but the hyena picture made my stomach clench. I'm not sure about hyenas.

Steve was a product for the American market.

His wife is American and groomed him perfectly for market, as she now grooms her daughter.

And sure, you can never go broke underestimating the American market.

I recall Rod Hull (and by definition Emu) died falling off his roof, fixing his TV aerial. It's the way he'd have wanted to go. Emu was, appropriately, buried with Rod - their two fates inexorably linked.

I think it's great. From the video clip I watched, he seems pretty down-to-earth, so it's not like he has some delusional idea of his relationship with the lions (and hyenas). He just demonstrates how well a human being can connect with some animals and that's cool to see.
