    That is the point of view I was trying to make in another thread. In my country during summer you can get even over 15 punds of various vegetables for only one Big MacMenu.
    While 150 grams of good chips costs about 2$ and fruit/vegetables is much cheaper than that. Even chicken breast or cheaper forms of fish are cheaper than many snacks/sweets.


    It is all just a matter of habit more or less.

    Just got the email saying what I'm getting in my CSA, so I can plan my meals for this week... therefore planning my groceries.

    My CSA bag will contain:
    - spaghetti squash
    - green tomatoes
    - salad greens
    - curly kale
    - stayman apples
    - green tomatoes
    - red potatoes

    My groceries will be:
    - Udon noodles (maybe?)
    - Cheddar cheese
    - Queso fresco
    - Jalapeños
    - Red onion
    - Black beans
    - Tortillas (or chips, haven't decided)
    - Scallions
    - Cilantro
    - Glühwein

    What I'm planning on making:
    - Green Tomato Salsa Verde - Ball(R) Fresh Preserving - Fresh Preserving
    - Chilaquiles Manifesto ~Yes, more please! (using the above salsa)
    - Everything with kimchi: noodle soup, pancakes, fried rice
