    This makes me hungry. @RaptorWizard ought to participate; I have often said that when he reads from something (or sometimes just when he speaks) he sounds as thought he is reading down a grocery list.

    @whatever - Holy cow, you really go in-depth with your grocery lists.

    We don't use lists in my house unless there are only a few key things to remember. Like birthday cake, for example!

    the key is that I type this up AFTER I've gone grocery shopping and tend to use the receipts to recall what I bought

    though I do make my lists on Out Of Milk because I can type it on the computer and it appears on my phone... that's so that I remember essential but less exciting things like ziplocs and such... otherwise there's vague descriptions like "vegetables" and "tasty meat" on the list

    I occasionally suspect that going a few years without really being able to afford any food worth being excited about makes me enjoy reviewing my grocery lists and thinking "yay! I have LOTS of food!!!" now
