I wouldn't exactly call myself an expert, simply one with taste who knows good tea when he tries it.

I've never had it but if you have lots of money and don't mind having things sent to you via airmail you can order it from this UK company http://www.imperialteas.co.uk/tea/ja...has-tea-amacha

I don't think I'll be making any more sun tea until springtime. According to wikipedia it's safer and more practical to do the same thing in the fridge but it's the principle of the thing.

Having read the article . . . I would be concerned if my drinking water became "thick, syrupy, or has ropey strands" in under 24 hours from sitting out at room temperature.

And here I've thought those ropey strands were angel hairs.

There are U.S. companies that sell it too (for a lot of money). I found this as well... I wonder if the tea is from asia though.

I've never been all that careful with my sun tea procedures and have never encountered anything resembling these warnings. I wonder about the water that produces such results.

I've never had those results either. I'm guessing there may be "icks" in the tea bags/leaves.

I was invited for High Tea yesterday afternoon by one of my very English friends. Very nice.

Scones and cream, homemade jams, and a lovely Earl Grey from Fortnum and Masons (one of the really posh department stores in London - they specialise in stuff like tea.)

    Also sloe gin and whiskey.

Do you all have any recommendations for good tea for when you're sick, on a college budget? What I usually do is steal Tazo tea from my dining hall (going with either Calm, Zen, or Lotus), but it'd be nice to buy some of my own and Tazo is on the expensive side. (And it'd also be nice to not steal things from my dining hall. )

    Thoughts?
