Does anyone else hate getting swarmed by yellow jackets? Personally, I do.
Doctors are supposed to protect patient confidentiality.
I dislike going to doctors because of the bureaucracy and business nature of it all. The relationship is very one-sided, and the time with the actual provider invariably rushed.
Hope is the denial of reality. It is the carrot dangled before the draft horse to keep him plodding along in a vain attempt to reach it. We should remove the carrot and walk forward with our eyes open. -- Raistlin Majere
Yeah true fact, even less than 1 semester into school they are drilling HIPAA into our souls. It's a big deal.
It is indeed. But I am surprised at what you can and cannot know about patient records. Or things that are considered "public" and "private". I had to learn this in my legal class and it was shocking...some of the stuff seemed to be chosen on a whim.
But OP, yes...I hate going to the doctor. I almost always come away frustrated and with a strange feeling of being terribly let down.
Gah...I have to go tomorrow.
I need to go, but I hate it and I'm scared they're gonna share why I'm there and it's extremely embarrasing, and than everyone's gonna make fun of me.
It's totally against the law for them to share. Your records are protected by the HIPAA Privacy Rule. No one in the medical profession would risk their livelihood over gossip. Not to mention, the content's not that uncommon/entertaining to begin with, compared to say, a guy presenting in the E.R. with a champagne bottle stuck up his pooper.

Purple, in your case seeing a doctor is a good thing. I think neuro-chemical disorders are mostly caused by environmental pollution, but modern medicine does have some short term (at least) solutions to the problems the modern world has caused. Your doctor is there to do her or his job, and that includes protecting your privacy.
