Recently I've been having episodes where I'm getting random tightness in the legs and knees. Whether or not I've exercised doesn't seem to make a difference. Anyone know what's causing this?

diet? cold weather? stress? change in activities (slipping under the radar if they aren't exercise)?

just throwing some things out there, I have no idea. It doesn't sound severe, just curious right?

Yeah, could be all kinds of things. I mysteriously had trouble stretching out my left leg, eventually things got much worse and it became evident that I had a bulging spinal disc pressing on a nerve.

What, specifically is tight? the muscles? Tendons? stiff joints?

*shrug* Just stretch them out and massage the tightness out of the area with your thumbs (dig deep..). So long as they don't hurt there's nothing to worry about really. I think.

I slipped and fell on an icy sidewalk (my shoes didn't have very good tread, and I'm still getting used to walking on snow and ice) on the way to a bar known as the Hawk n Dove last night.

I must have pulled a tendon or something because I woke up this morning and could barely walk. I had to stretch my leg for like 20 minutes this morning before I could head to the mall to go pick up some cold weather gear...

Quite possibly. I suspect I have this.

It's not severe. It's just kind of annoying when it happens. I feel like my legs are losing their flexibility.

Getting enough magnesium?

I think so.

Stiff joints

Do you feel it more as you are walking down a flight of stairs? If so, google IT Band syndrome.
