I voted "The pond"

Because of many reason.
Some of them are.

1. All of fishes need pond to survive but pond does not need fish to survive.

3. It has no personality, body, parents or standard shape and size.

4. Fish dies with time but pond lasts much longer. Even if it is dryed out it can be "resurrected" by rain few centurys after.

Exactly.

See. Now you have men in nasty rubber boots standing in you too. They don't get out of the boat to pee either. Just sayin'!

Small fish in a big pond. I like space, and I like mystery. In a big pond, there is room to move, and much to explore and discover.

There's something to be said for the value of quality over quantity. Do you want the bulk of your substance to be crap? No, I think not.

What does that suppose to mean?
Define bulk?

If you are not some tiny pond crap is actally quite useful to you since is it increases the concentration of carbon (and some other elements) in you.
So you can support bigger biomass. (stronger inner life).

I'm just playing. I meant that if someone pees in you (and you're the pond), then a larger portion of your volume will be dedicated to feces (aka crap, detritis, etc.). You don't want that, do you? Of course not... :alttongue:

by "bulk" I meant "the larger portion."

Small fish in a big pond sounds good to me. More stuff to explore.

It doesn't matter what size fish you are as long as you're happy being that size. A big fish worries about losing power. A small fish worries about not being a big fish. I would prefer not to worry at all, being nobody, going nowhere.

A mutated medium sized fish that has legs and can breathe on land for up to an hour living in the ocean. For food, I visit small ponds and eat the big fish there.
