-Superhero Power
Invisibility for I don't want certain people to notice me (and I can choose to whom I can be visible to).
Time travel to satisfy my curiosity if I change something in the past.
-Technology that's now obsolete
Diskettes. CRT TVs & computers. And typewriters even though I haven't touched one.
Does anyone remember Friendster?
-Human invention
Computers. Internet. Anything high-tech.

^Assuming that's romance-related. A cold and mysterious place? Maybe when there are fireworks? Maybe between New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. :D
-Pizza toppings
Pepperoni. Bacon. Various.
-Person who makes you laugh
My dad. And various people.

Straight Edge: no drinking, no smoking, no drugs. And I want to avoid gossiping. And premarital or promiscuous sex (although it's just a fantasy sometimes).
-Article of clothing or possession
This black long-sleeve T-shirt, pants (hate shorts), rubber shoes or sneakers. I want a leather jacket.

Tell me your favourite:

-superhero power: I don't have a favorite. I like too many of them. Honestly. I love character development in writing and I see something "good" in all of them, or else they wouldn't be "superheroes."

-technology that's now obsolete---Vinyl Records. I love how they sound. I love playing with record player needles.

-human invention--hammocks

-place to be kissed--on my mouth if it's the right person kissing me. The rest of the time, on top of my head. Oh, you meant geographical location? Meh...it doesn't matter.

-pizza toppings--pineapples and mushrooms

-person who makes you laugh--my prison pal.

-time of the day to wake up--about 7 or 8 or when the sun streams through and wakes me. I don't like alarm clocks.

-snack--tomatoes and avocados.

-spot to think alone--Outdoors, away from businesses, people and concrete.

-person or place you'd visit if given time off & a free trip--my prison pal, a friend in New Zealand.

-book--the Bible [great book, really] however, right now I'm reading The Edda.

-time playing, as a child--in a graveyard that predated the Civil War behind a barn that had been built by slaves, also in that barn; it made a great castle, ship, dungeon....just whatever and anywhere on the 150 acres of hills, hollers, creeks and woods that surrounded the place.

-body part--no favorite. I like them all. Maybe skin, everything else would be a mess if not for skin. Yep, definitely need the skin.

-question/observation about yourself - from someone else--you're obsessive. You go too far. Basically, I spend too much time doing the things I like and all the boring mundane things that people want me to be interested in, I'm not so I pretend to be in order to get by but when I start creating or get engrossed in a project, I just tune them out and people get mad about that.

-weather--warm...warm...and warm.

-memory with a family member--sledding with my siblings. We used a car hood for a sled.

-thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life'--how to write

-question you still seek an answer to--why some people can only see what's right in front of them

-quality you take some pride in--genuine kindness

-way to blow off steam--train

-smell--Four O'clock Flowers and Mimosa and Magnolia, woodlands, dry grasses in late summer...lots of nature smells.

-exclamation when you are mad--Crap.

-lie you tell yourself or others--That I care about stuff that I really find dull, mundane and boring.

-wonder found in nature--caves, natural bridges, arches.

-tradition you have--giving thanks for my food.

-article of clothing or possession--jade necklace

superhero power

healing power - abnormal flexibility - time space manipulation

technology that's now obsolete

Non-digital maps. Use maps & globes as decor, adore all things cartography.

Maps_zpsd1mhbisf.jpg

cartography_zpsppgfcxn1.jpg

human invention

Toilet - Only takes using an outhouse to know why!

Contraception - Makes sex for love or/and pleasure = possible.

place to be kissed

Inner Thigh ~ Small of Back ~ Below Belly Button

These tent cottages are my most recent geographical fave:

Rockwater%20Tent%20Water_zpso51z2ad1.jpg

Rockwater%20Tent_zpsghszojnt.jpg

person who makes you laugh

Lots of people but my Brother is one for sure!

spot to think alone

On the train.

book

One: Prince of Foxes. Buy it for most of my male friend’s, read it periodically myself and have day-dreamed exactly how it could be adapted it into a film.

Prince%20of%20Foxes_zpsmpyapm1z.jpg

time playing, as a child

Building forts. Outdoor adventuring and imagining.

memory with a family member

Grandpa teaching me to swim.

thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life'

How to do my own taxes.

exclamation when you are mad

Grrrr or Gah! Animalistic noises if really angry.

tradition you have

Don't follow many established traditions but love to make new or personal ones. When I converse with my Parent’s via text I always end with “I love you more than…” statements.

Like “I love you more than all the atoms that make up matter" OR "...more than the pixels in all the screens around the globe…”. It’s cheesy but exercises my brain to not repeat things and means much to my Parent’s.

article of clothing or possession

Spectacles.

Digitally archived photo's of family & friend's/things I've written/meaningful correspondence.

It's a toss-up between birth control/contraception and airplanes. Computers win the honorable mention (personal computers, cell phones, gaming systems...they all count).

-place to be kissed
Behind the ears/along the neck.

-pizza toppings
Pepperoni and giardiniera.

-person who makes you laugh
Some guy I've been sleeping with.

-time of the day to wake up
3:00 pm, since I've been getting to sleep between 8:00 and 9:00 am these days. Naturally nocturnal, but I get by on less sleep when obligations demand it and I wake up quickly. So. There's that.

-snack
Almonds or granola/protein bars if on the go. Popcorn at movies.

-spot to think alone
Driving on an open highway or stretch of interstate. Walking along beaches or lakefronts. My thoughts will grab me pretty much anywhere, but I really don't care for sitting still.

-person or place you'd visit if given time off & a free trip
Oh, man. Everywhere. I'm good at making that happen on a fairly regular basis, but internationally/overseas...Germany and Spain are both pretty high on my list.

-book
Currently reading the Southern Reach trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer. It's pretty damn good, so we'll go with that. (If you like really unnerving, unusual flavors of futuristic horror, check it out!)

-time playing, as a child
Honestly not sure since I don't really think about it much. Maybe climbing trees or collecting caterpillars with my then best friend when we were really little kids. After that it all kinda flew off the rails.

-body part
Eyes, on myself and others.

-question/observation about yourself - from someone else
One of the nicest, most amazing things anyone has ever said to me, even during a darker period of my life: "You're super fucking intense, but I've never felt higher with anyone else."

-weather
90+ degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity (70+ dewpoints), promptly followed by a round of severe thunderstorms. Blow my windows out, bitch. I dare you.

-memory with a family member
These nostalgia questions are killing me, haha. Any number of helpful talks with my dad, I guess.

-thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life'
Anything related to the craft that has become my job, soooo college stuff. Before that, I don't really remember. It seems like I was already writing and critically reasoning before I got to grade school, so no points for you, elementary.

-question you still seek an answer to
Pass.

-quality you take some pride in
As erratic as I may seem to those around me, I've got good follow through. I'll connect with my goals 9 out of 10 times; give me any situation, and I'll get you something out of it.

-way to blow off steam
Hit the gym or hit the road. Let my brain chew on the issue for a while and then put it to creative use.

-smell
Dewpoint-rich atmosphere when the plants are blooming in summer. Night air, petrichor. Hot, cooking pavement blending with the al fresco food smells of downtown city.

-exclamation when you are mad
All of 'em.

-lie you tell yourself or others
Everything's gonna be okay.

-wonder found in nature
Severe thunderstorms. They can be awful, I know, but I just can't stop myself.

-tradition you have
During the week of his birthday, I've been giving my SO one present a day, every day, for the whole seven days. I wrap all of the gifts and put them in a bag and then he picks one at random.

-article of clothing or possession
Clothing - boots and ball cap.
Possession - my cat and my camera.

I can't find words to properly thank everyone for their answers.

I think I will respond via private communications for the most part.

Arctic Hysteria This was inspired by a Thinker but made by a Feeler for everyone (I personally feel most people have both to them). PLEASE come back and respond :)

Well I've wanted to ride the Canadian for quite awhile.

I hope you get to. The beauty and fun on offer is amazing! Literally from end to end.

P.S. Good amendment Floki (grin)

superhero power
existence beyond space and time

technology that's now obsolete
As a technology professional and student of wilderness/primitive skills, I have a difficult time finding anything which is obsolete.

human invention
Internet, 'cause talking to this many people in this many different countries by shortwave radio probably wasn't going to happen.

place to be kissed
I'm not picky. :D

pizza toppings
Ok, maybe I am a little picky... pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, green peppers, pineapple, sometimes banana peppers

person who makes you laugh
Shortly before she died, my mom told me that from a very young age, she could feel the laugh build up deep inside of me while holding me before she ever heard it. People I really connect with make me laugh on a level which goes beyond just funny.

time of the day to wake up
Do what??? Ugh, I don't want to talk about trauma-inducing topics.

snack
Yes, please!

spot to think alone
In my den at home, or a remote scenic spot in the woods

person or place you'd visit if given time off & a free trip
So many awesome people here, and so many amazing places...

book
Bushcraft by Mors Kochanski because nothing provides more independence and freedom than knowing the whole could go to hell, and I would be still be thriving in the wilderness somewhere. I'd probably be having even more fun.

time playing, as a child
Making mud pies at age 4 with my 4 year old neighbor girl best friend who moved away a year later.
Catching lightning bugs and playing tag in the front yard every summer. Each one seemed to last a lifetime.
Catching "crawdads" (crayfish) in the creek, which was also the site of many dragon-slaying quests, several commando raids, and one brown water rafting near misadventure.
Grading toy car roads on the front yard with a spoon and living an imaginary life among the grass forest.
Laughing at and mocking the silly adults around me who get so uptight and competitive about this unnatural condition of money slavery we've all been tricked into.

body part
Brain: I constantly revise its software to do whatever I need it to do.

question/observation about yourself - from someone else
"You're such an interesting person." [not sure if compliment or... :thelook: ]

weather
autumn! rain! storms! blizzards! comfortable, cool, or even life-threateningly cold (aka -40)!

memory with a family member
So many! I have an "emotionally photographic" memory where I feel things exactly as I did at the time, and knowing that it's just a memory makes me intensely sad.

thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life'
How to beat and game a system which is designed to suppress independence, creativity, freedom of thought, and personal happiness apart from money and other imposed yet pointless goals.

question you still seek an answer to
I don't have all night to type these! ;)

quality you take some pride in
All of these are a contradiction to someone whose life involves constantly finding flaws and trying to improve them, but I do enjoy making life fun and funny.

way to blow off steam
Hike, backpack, do physical projects rather than abstract intellectual ones for a change, have sex

smell
Campfire smoke is the call of the wild.

exclamation when you are mad
Sometimes a growl, or other times a unique combination of words describing both the situation and acts which probably violate morality laws in at least 30 states.

lie you tell yourself or others
"It will be ok."
[The truth: it might be ok, but most likely, we'll have to make it be ok through clever and persistent work and carefully-timed seizing of opportunities.]

wonder found in nature
Yes, definitely. ;)

tradition you have
family camping trips and visiting certain places/parks

article of clothing or possession
My vehicle, because it allows me to escape back home into nature at any time and any place. (nothing special about it)
