I do have a tendency to perceive things in terms of wrongness or lack of wrongness. It is a negative way to view the world, for sure, and fails to assign people or things the worth they deserve sometimes.

    What prompted this question?

Why must there be a duality here? Plenty of people are capable of seeing what is working and what isn't within the same context. One does not need to be an extremist either way.

It depends on what it is. Sometimes I am extremely optimistic and other times I correct people. Like I saw am idiot article today about a "camping list" and seriously the upper middle class housewife might as well had her kids pitch tents in the backyard, seeing as that she was afraid to camp without conditioner, a nail file and a laptop. I definitely had something to say about that because her list was obnoxious and had power to influence others, namely robbing children of an actual camping experience and putting stress on the environment by dragging iPods and laptops camping. I honestly thought she was one of the biggest morons I have ever encountered, but didn't say so, but felt compelled especially to mention the absurdity of taking a laptop camping. Not to mention this person's disgusting energy dependence, oh yeah let me take my television CAMPING. Yeah I can get pretty nasty about stuff like that.

EDIT: Just to clarify I wasn't hating on someone's personal list in a blog, but an actual hairbrained misguided article that was intended to give advice to others, and it was just supremely bad advice that defied common sense as well as my personal moral code, I mean seriously the woman was a complete capitalist tool.

I tend to lean to whichever side feels less balanced to me.

I'm more adept at seeing what is wrong. It's easier to spot a huge cockroach running around than a well kept room.

I am a natural idealist who was bitten by reality, so I turn over every beautiful idea to see what is underneath.
