i feel that question mark is often unsure about itself. because it always attached to things of uncertainty or used as a manipulation tool. I bet deep down the question mark wants to be important but just can't figure out how to. society has put the question mark in a position as such that it is only important when things of question arise. so while we see the question mark as important, the question mark itself doesn't. Because of the things we place it's importance on

now for my serious reply i think everyone to some extent even a little bit wants to feel important. i find if i feel chronically unimportant i start feeling worthless. but if I feel too important i get too big of an ego in the dangerous sense. and when that happens it gets cut down to size
    In no likes experiment.

i dunno what else to say so

Well I'm always surprised by how important it actually is.

Yup. 'Tis a delicate balance, a vicious cycle.

I'd almost convinced myself that I don't feel much of a sense of belonging or obligation and just recently admitted that that was all self-deception. I need to feel needed and to have some type of status, even if it's negative.

    It varies.

Feeling important in the world's eyes: It's not very important to me anymore. I usually (key word) don't mind being a "nobody" in society.
I admit this is kind of a selfish motivation, but sometimes I want to feel "secretly/silently important", like I'll use my life to enrich others' lives without demanding recognition for it.

Feeling important to the people who are most important to me: Very important.

It is important for myself to see my own importance. I don't care if most of the people see me as unimportant.

I want to be valued as an individual and as a fellow human being, but I don't need to feel important. To me, the need to feel important implies that I'm better off - or better than - someone. But anyone can value me, and I can give others value.

Pretty important. Mostly, I need to feel useful, and that goes hand in hand with important.

^^^ This. I feel like I have to matter in some way or the other. To matter, you have to be important in some context. And being important makes you feel important, though not necessarily superior, prideful, entitled.
