OMG, thank you prpl! My friends are posting this study on facebook and going on self-righteous rants about beauty and the narcissistic generation. SHUT UP ALREADY! Selfies are just the new buzzword to scare people. Cyber-Bullying got played out, apparently. There's a BS study for every online trend these days.

Selfies get way too much hate. You know what doesn't? Food pics, because all people I know who post pictures of their food online have some weird obsession over their weight and dieting and stuff and they just don't seem to realize they're being boring as fuck. That's a bad thing, you know.
    Ewww is the new sexy

It's basically the same unhealthy mindset of someone suffering from anorexia. Reaching the "ideal" won't ever happen because you have a warped self-image to begin with and nothing will ever be good enough.

He was also treated for OCD and Body Dismorphic Disorder. The headline is just the same old sensationalizing bullshit.

I thought everybody agreed that nobody cares for anybody's food pics.

All of this. I'm pretty sure it's always been common practice to call someone's sense of self-confidence vanity and narcissism. By petty people that can't stand to see others happy with themselves, they have to drag them down.

I actually like people's food pictures

A lot more than their selfies actually.

Posting food pictures indicate that the most interesting thing in your life is food. That's a bad thing and shouldn't be encouraged.

God, look at all the iPhones. I think that's the bigger cause of mental illness.
