23. I got this checked out once because I'd spent too much life worried about it, and I found out that I am neurotypical and the signs that concerned me came of other things. Things like worrying too much. I could be close to the fuzzy border, but that's IMO splitting hairs.

I don't have an explanation for you, just guesses and tales and such. We don't know about the credibility of this test, so there's a reason not to take the results too seriously. Moreover, even if you did take the results seriously, your score placed on the border of no autism/possible autism. That doesn't seem very serious.

I live with a lovely person whom I know is not autistics, but sometimes shows tendencies of preferring autist-like behavior. Like she was a fan of the condition.

You are a fun person to talk to in the forum and while you have self-doubts, you haven't come across as overly autistic to me. If you'd like a chat then ask me :D

this is all I wanted. I appreciate this. I really do. I know I'm creative but creative doesn't equal autism creative equals creative. I sometimes have weird thinking, but who doesn't?

I've been diagnosed with Asperger's actually, but it's not very crippling and it might be a false diagnosis.

Autism is just an illness invented by mental health professionals to punish people.

I've never been diagnosed with Aspergers, or felt that I had it.

I was tested by a neuropsychology specialist about three years ago and diagnosed with asperger's disorder. This score would likely be higher if I did not take into account how I am now with the things I've learned and conscious adjustments to behavior and understanding over the years.

Results of your
Autism / Asperger's Screening Quiz

You scored a total of 25

You have answered this autism screening in such a way as to suggest that you are not likely currently suffering from an austism spectrum disorder, including Asperger's disorder.

That's a relief. But Asperger's is another question.

39. I have been suspected of being on the spectrum by a mental health professional. I am currently working on improving my social skills.

16 here.

I couldn't help but notice that being extroverted/enjoying social interactions will lower your score significantly. I wonder how many people combine extroversion with an autism-spectrum disorder. The quiz seems to rely on the thinking that if something is difficult or causes problems (like social interaction for autistic people) then they wouldn't say they liked doing them. It's a reasonable assumption, but I wonder if there aren't autistic people who are mostly unaware of their difficulties with social situations and have mostly been around pleasant/accommodating people who didn't give them negative feedback during their interactions.
