Default USA personality map - Time magazine

    http://science.time.com/2013/10/22/t...mericas-moods/

The study used BIG 5 to determine regional differences. Now, is it possible to type the states MBTI-wise with this data?

    50+ Extroversion = Extroversion
    50+ Openness = Intuition
    50+ Agreeableness = Feeling
    50+ Conscientiousness = Judging

    For example:
    New York
    47 Extroversion
    64,5 Openness
    29,8 Agreeableness
    37,7 Conscientiousness

    means iNTP

    or

    Minnesota

    52,9 Extroversion
    38,5 Openness
    61,6 Agreeableness
    52,5 Conscientiousness

    means eSFj

Full list - types of the states on page two.

Ha, I was going to start a thread about this earlier today but I forgot about it.

Apparently my personality is reflective of the people of Vermont.

Ehh. I think a better description of 'New York' is 3w4, contra-flow. Probably ENTJ.

Where does neuroticism come into this? Or is it too vague and general for comparison with MBTI?

Whenever I did the BBC test after they demonstrated the big 5 on Child of Our Time, I always come out with high Neuroticism and low everything else.

Which apparently means I would be suited to the north-east United States.
'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist

Suppose a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?"
"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.
    Piglet was comforted by this.

I guess it is split up in MBTI, a little bit here and there.
