As a woman inclined to like men I can't really echo that women solve my existential dilemma, but I thought the sentiment worth echoing.

It may be why I prefer more graphic porn than some women and am very bored by R-rated "soft porn" but my Fi objects to anything that is actually degrading or harmful; like excessive porn watching, unrealistic attitudes about how women should look or behave sexually IRL, and stuff that is just clearly misogynistic.

I like a lot of "home grown" stuff or old porn where people look like "real people" (including the women, so they are not airbrushed Barbies) and I think it's only something that people should watch once and a while, not every day, and certainly not all day long.

I also love something visceral about horror movies, and even like some slasher films, but again I think it's unhealthy for people to watch horror every day all day long, upping the ante until they are desensitized or watching with disturbing regularity what is called "torture porn" (horror that is often X rated and depicts violence so realistic or disturbing, and in such slow agonizing detail, that it would traumatize most people if they watched it too much).

My Se is kept firmly in check by Fi, but yes Se probably does like something about a certain level of visceral excitement.

And notice also what I said about some people being really imbalanced, that a preference for dom Se with no balance of Fi/Te and Te/Fe, would potentially lead to a very amoral thrill-seeking or low-brow type; Jung talks about the Se type being thus, that the "higher" more intelligent or more mature version has refined tastes and the "lower" or less intelligent or less mature version apparently just moves from one sensation to the next.

I think Fi/Se/Ni is right for me in this regard, which is why Fi rules over my Se, and why I've had the Ni since my late teens to start questioning or analyzing it.

I lean towards thinking that the frequency with which males, especially adolescent and young adult males, get themselves and others dead in stupid ways does not indicate a higher level of rationality. There's a reason we use them for soldiers and why they have higher car insurance rates. Not that females can't be nuts, too. They are just less frequently nuts in ways that get themselves taken out of the gene pool.
