We make way too big of a deal out of "I," "me," "ego," "identity," "personality," etc. It's a construct that helps us make sense of the world--and it's usually extremely useful--but when it leads to identity crises, we ought to shift perspective and just set the whole idea aside.

Ask me something about myself, and my answer might vary situationally or day-by-day. I've learned to be quite alright with that.
