    For the lulz of course
For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.

Some like to preach to the converted and some don't.

It's mostly to understand. Taking a contrary position in a discussion, either genuine or not, is a good way to elucidate a world view for oneself.
As far as internet forums go, however, it's often about the community.

There is some middleground between preaching to the converted and partycrashing every single mass in your neighborhood Catholic church to burn an effigy of Benedict XVI.

Was this supposed to say "mass" or do you just think that mass is a mess?

Maybe some people do it out of sheer boredom

Yeah, I don't understand it either. I figure these people just don't feel right unless they feel like the world is against them. The best way to achieve this environment is to find a special interest forum they disagree with and set up camp.

Whats so wrong with having the World against you ? I mean the World wages war about bullshit reasons, in the Third World people starve to Death everyday, while we throw the second 20er chicken mcnuggets bucket in the trash bin. People still havent understood that ecology is more important than economics. People believe in some sort of God and go to war about it. People get breast operations just to look more uglier than before and people think they are alone in the universe, cause they are special or something.

I dunno but I can go on all day, enough reasons to be against

@entropie Precisely, there's enough real BS to be against. Even if MBTI were insidious (and of course it is, that's why I'm here), it still ranks way below the chicken nugget in world influence. In a worse case scenario, even sillier than a minority people who falsely classify other people is the people who have decided to spend a significant amount of time dogging them. But, whatever, I do silly worthless things, but I don't mind admitting that they are silly and worthless.
