1.) Read books, essays, poems and news articles out loud. Work on slow pronunciation and build to a more natural pace.

2.) Read silently to yourself authors with a creative grasp of language.

3.) Speak in public more often. Speak but don't think about how you appear to others. Rather, focus on what you'll say before you say it. If you need a few brief moments of composing yourself before you talk, use it. The ideas that you associate should be clear in your mind before you speak, but when you develop some experience with public speaking, you will more naturally be able to flow from one idea to another while taking your time.
