So then why does everyone associate memory with Si?

I think it's because it's an accumulation of everything that has worked in the past. Past is associated with memory, it's kind of hard to separate the two. I think you can function based on solid facts and everything that has been incorporated as true into your internal framework without having the best of memory. You can act in the present based on a framework that is just there without actually having a wonderful account of every little detail that led you up to that moment.

I feel like I could have said that entire thing in one sentence, but I don't know how. :fpalm:
