I'm not really convinced by some of these traits. They seem designed to cater towards particular sorts of people (especially the ones who actively like to direct others), and put other types lower on the ladder.

I don't think the "actualized person" will always be the outgoing leader type. People can lead in quiet ways, without directing the activities of others.

Dana's list seems a little more open than the other link I looked at.

I can confidently say I am a level 6. It was hard work getting here.

You missed the point. All types can have all levels.

I don't identify with any of them, and I wouldn't want to be the level 6 described there. Being a leader is not a priority of mine, I aim for freedom.

Who'd actually admit consistently being at levels 1-3? People at those levels would rarely admit it or recognize that they are.

If it were sunny outside I'd say level 6. But it's not so I'm going to say level 5. ;)

I think I seem like a six on a great day, a five on an average day, and a four on a bad day.

I think you missed MY point.

You say all types can have levels (which I agree with).

I'm saying the system described here actually inherently favors certain types, regardless of what you'd like to say it does. The system seems biased.

Capisce?

What does emotional maturity have to do with being able to lead? I know leaders that are level 2's.. and I do not like to lead.. at least not from the front.

On average I'd say I'm a four and good days maybe 5 but mostly likely 4.5 on bad days a 3

But I kept reading this thread as "Mother's Levels of Emotional Maturity" and could not find the connection between mom's and this . I think about the 5th time looking at this thread I realized it said Morler's.

I'd say I'm 3.5ish.

Then you should think of what "responsibility" and "integrity" really mean.

I think I seem like a six on a great day, a five on an average day, and a four on a bad day.

Then you're likely to be Level-5.

What does emotional maturity have to do with being able to lead? I know leaders that are level 2's.. and I do not like to lead.. at least not from the front.

They may have destructive behaviour, except if interest is strong. Think of Hitler.

You're right, because some types are "early" for maturity on some fields and "late" for others. If you read the .PDF file wholely, you'll understand.

Descriptions are approximate. They aren't really in favor of certain types. It's pretty much like Spiral Dynamics' Levels.

I think 'Leader' refers to someone people look up to.. and not someone power-hungry (boss/dictator/etc). That would make sense.

I'm going with 4. Unless I'm on INTJ Central. Then I"m more of a 3 because I am encountering a lot of ostentatious people. Let's just call me "Kiddo 3.5". :D
