So pornography is now the brothel-without-walls.

So we are now all able to look into the heart of a brothel. And what do we see?

We see almost exclusively women mimicking arousal, in order to arouse the man.

And also we see that women are paid to do things that wives don't like to do.

So the women in brothels are seen by men as golden-hearted prostitutes.

And men reach out to the golden-hearted prostitutes with their bodies, their emotions and their money.

For the golden-hearted prostitute is an idealisation of their abusive mother.

But unable to face that their physical and emotional survival was dependent on an abusive mother, the abused child idealises their mother.

Idealisation is a psychological defence mechanism to defend against the unbearable feeling of complete helplessness of the abused child.

And this idealisation is so common it is projected onto the Mother of God, the Virgin Mary and onto the idealised golden-hearted prostitute.

My mom even made an observation once, that the men who love you most are the ones that you don't like at first. I hope it's just a stereotype, but all of this implies that there's something rather sick in the basic male psychology that always wants women who are unattainable in some way.

There is some truth to reality being hidden in order to see the ideal, but being a mother is truly the toughest job in the world. And thankless.
I don't believe that most women are exclusively one thing: either the abuser or the abused.

I think both men and women are guilty of idolatry, and all the porn that comes along with it. Men have their narrow view of the ever willing woman and women have their fantasy of the one-dimensional, eternally devoted romantic comedy lead. It's a hard pill to swallow when faced with the true multifaceted nature of a real person.
