I like nice people. I see no reason to think people are being fake unless they give me a real reason to think they are. I like people who are introspective. I like people who are unselfish and respectful of others, yet have great self-respect. I like a good sense of humor and a fair dose of optimism. I also like people who are technically proficient, but the real cream is with those who are technically proficient and socially conscious.

All the people I like bring something latent out in my personality. I think that's important. Likable people either enhance your good traits or make you feel good about having bad ones.

Good point. I also think a likable person is someone who passively helps you grow.

Definitely this. Someone that's been a little beat down by life and has an attitude about it (a little edge) over someone who's been pampered and polite their whole life.

^That. I also find conflicted people more endearing than people who seem to have it all figured out.
There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.

To me many things at the same time in the right proportions, depending on what they are and who they are coming from.

Openness is a core trait, as far as I'm concerned. Synarch and I chatted about this a few months ago. Openness is a sign of strength. I dig it.

Again, yes. I like people that have the following traits in some functional measure:

    -Genuineness
    -Non-Pretentious
-Intelligent (Street Smart AND Book Smart)
    -Funny
    -Optimistic
    -Considerate
    -Polite, but NOT Politically Correct
    -Motivated
    -Self Sufficient
    -Of Diverse Experiences
-Inner and Outer Beauty, Pride in The Gifts God Gave Them, but not Narcissists
    -Assertive
    -Flexible
    -Resilient
-Tough (Mentally AND/OR Physically) but Not Mean

I am a people lover by default, but the ones that I gravitate to, and choose to keep current with are the ones who have alot of the list above going on. Those are my core folks, my base, my friends and advisors.
