Some people are curious. Some other's curiosity doesn't overcome the social fear of being the person that talks to the weirdo, and vice versa.

In Von Trier's film The Idiots.

Who are the idiots. That's you?

When they realize that you don't play the game they shove you to the side.:steam: Maybe they realized that even as you were a child, you were not going to grow up to be a good competitor.

I try to understand that which I don't understand. But in the sense that the "something" doesn't interest me, it in fact does not exist.
Parties are social gathering, social gatherings are about being social in a verbal sense. I am not good at being social verbally. You talk about the same things over and over, you tell the same stories over and over. You regurgitate jokes you heard hoping to hear new jokes to regurgitate. You then rotate, retell a story and regurgitate a joke. Sometimes you start to wonder if certain types live a life just so they can tell stories to one up someone else.

    Here is my $.02:

    A) This party sounds lame. I've been to several kinds of parties in my day and this one sounds worse than all of them. It sounds more like a school dance or something. Given I'm not an introvert, so I might have a different perspective.

    B) I know most people seem to ignore things that don't exist. Personally the things that I don't understand are what I find most interesting. I wish I could find more people who are like this.
