What is YOUR point of living?

The way I see it is like this...

Life came to play due to some millions-of-years-old comets bombarding the early Earth and planting the "seeds of life" -- some complex hydrocarbon molecules. Fast forward a few billion years, and presto! Here we are.

So what the hell is the point to any of this? Well, obviously, there is no objective point. But there is a subjective point. What is yours? How do you stay motivated to live this life?

How do you stay motivated to live this life?

What helps me to stay motivated is perhaps the curiosity whether tomorrow will be a better day. There's always this "What if..." question at the back of my mind.

I live just because there is no point of not existing. Existing wins over not existing in my opinion. In this existence I will be the best person I can in my own way. In that sense I want to help those in need (with their personal problems... something I can talk through), and I want to be happy by doing whatever I want. I take life as it comes at me, but I won't change things for the hell of it, if I'm happy the way I am then I'll keep it that way. I love living in the mountains, in the middle of the woods. It's great.

I also learned to appreciate living, and the things that are in this life. It always amazes me at how many new things there are for me to snoop around and find out about. This is one of those things that keeps me happy, finding and assimilating new information that's interesting to me. Reading new things, I love books. Playing games, writing, etc. Going on walks in nature just to appreciate how this world is at it's best. Hobbies are a great thing.

Beyond, I've told you this before, but you make your own purpose in life, you make it whatever you may want it to be. If you haven't found that, then you just haven't gotten the spark of interest in life, maybe you haven't found that ONE thing that you truly live for. It's good to hear from you by the way.

I'm not really sure what the point to living a life is, yet. My motivational goal is just being as happy as I can be while I can be happy... If that makes any sense.

Lately I haven't been achieving my goal and I need to change some things up in my life. Maybe that is my new motivation.

Enjoyability.

We are all fighting for the exact same reward chemicals, and we all have slightly different strategies for doing this.

I simply think 'I'm here now, I might as well make the most of it'.

Some thoughts that have helped me...

The meaning of life is meaning. The meaning I give it.
Life is pain. If I accept that it's a whole lot easier.
The only way out is through. Now that I'm here I will make the most of it.

The point is to survive, now that has become easy so we're seemingly searching for a point beyond that and there is none. So, we're looking for meaning in our televisions, bigger houses, shopping, cloths, sex, other people, cars and the list goes on forever and this is causing issue upon our issues. It's only been the last 100-200 years we haven't been in a survival mode after all.

A life without meaning or reason resorts to stimulation and that's what most seem to do.

So I guess my point is growth, understanding, knowledge and love (to be and give) in that order as everything else is just noise in a world that should be silent, stimulation in a life that should have meaning.

The point of my living is here in England.

/grammar corrections may also be my point.

This is the first time someone has corrected my grammar, and I can't see the corrections! Ugh. What did you change, Geoff?

I tend to avoid questions like this, so I don't become buried under the despair of my own insignificance.

Oh no

Realizing that you're insignificant is one of the first steps in being a better person.

That kinda depends on yoru subjectivity of 'better'.

However, common sense tells us that it is most important to know your place, in order to ascertain the place of others. (There's some buddha quotes on this too. But they're kinda mushy and about love.)

If you really don't know, there is one thing that ALWAYS works.

"Because the alternative is much less appealing."

:D

Yes, this or life is just too long to be caught in a moment. :D

Well, that. Something I find is terrible about that statement though is; that phase occurs AFTER your point/meaning... whatever ...has occurred and been stated to yourself.

I'll try to explain later; my thoughts play hard-to-get.

EDIT: Hrrrm. I used my stalkers account. How stupid of me! -.-
I am Gtzk.

Fixed: However, common sense tells us that it is most important to know ones place, in order to ascertain the place of others.

That what you meant? :p (If not, then yeah, not following you. :D )
