Mate, mate, they are related - they are both robots.

Do you seriously believe they don't communicate?

All robots operate on a back channel.

What one robot knows, they all know.

I've seen Hal, Marvin and Deep Thought all sitting quietly together, apparently saying nothing. But when I opened up the back channel, it looked like they were gossiping about the whole world.

No, your conversation and mine is like a pebble on a beach, while the conversations held by Hal, Marvin and Deep Thought are like galaxies colliding.

A robot is not a robot.

The way I see it is like this...

Life came to play due to some millions-of-years-old comets bombarding the early Earth and planting the "seeds of life" -- some complex hydrocarbon molecules. Fast forward a few billion years, and presto! Here we are.

So what the hell is the point to any of this? Well, obviously, there is no objective point. But there is a subjective point. What is yours? How do you stay motivated to live this life?

Help others, allow them a chance to find meaning in their lives, and to help make the world a better place.

It depends on what level one chooses and decides to live.

On a basic level, people reproduce..

..On other non-base levels, any number of possibilites exist.

What level is not being able to think of what level your on? Woot for me! I've completed the basic level!

But seriously. Any clue about where human society is at? Clear up that ambiguity. But if your abiguity was the point then I'll stop making an ass out of myself. ::):

Maybe that's the point of life for INTPs. We have to clear up all the stuff we don't understand.

Well, its mostly cause i'm so gosh darn important, duh!! (I don't know why no one else has figured this out by now. )

I don't think about why i'm here. (This is a choosing- I think that to ponder on it at this point is a waste of time, since there is so much other fun to be had.)

That being said, I am here for enjoyability, and fun, pleasure, gaining satisfaction. (Sometimes this requires some harder stuff to reach)

People always say "life wasn't meant to be easy, was meant to learn lessons, " etc. etc.

My question is why?

Why not spend our time enjoying it, and helping others around us do the same, (somehow!)

For the million gazillion things there are to get upset about in the world, there is always something positive. I think that its hard to focus on those more positive things, (or to try to improve bad situations)- it is a skill, not ignorance.

Well, this went on a bit of a tangent.

So wrapping up. Being happy, staying positive, laughing, loving, all that mushy stuff. (dancing, living, watching the sunset )

Okay now just slap an INFP label on me.

I enjoy life. It amuses me. I'm also curious about mysticism and I like helping people.

My point of living is for my friends.

Without them, I am pretty much just dead.

The meaning of MY life

I am intrigued and spurred to learn and experience and love in that order by this question itself. As an NF, I look for meaning in everything. It is this big question that underlies everything I do and desire. I want to find out, I need to find out what the meaning of my life is....

I'm certainly not there yet and in some ways, I don't expect to be there or want to be there for certain. The hint of meaning in an idea/in a person makes me chase after that idea/person until I have understood how it/the person works and then it's off to chase the next idea/person who may provide a clue in understanding this question...

It is the wanderer's life but that's the way I like it. Makes me feel like an old-fashioned mystic. I wish I had this picture I took ages ago in the hills of an ancient eastern land. It's a cross-eyed ascetic in orange robes listening to his walkman....it's meeting people like that, fascinating people and learning the most incredible, funny and only accidentally spiritual things from them that keep me going.

The above is why I look like this a lot:

A robot is not a robot.

Whenever you post here everyone reads it.

Everyone know what is going on.

So this is our back channel.

And just as robots have their back channel, we have our back channel.

And both we and the robots know what is going on.

And the robots call this the, "Noosphere".

Why don't we?

And why don't you incorporate the noosphere into the next car you build?

The unknown, the future, the possibilities, the unknown future possibilities, I'm way too eager to see what if about them than to just drop dead. The excitement drives. Curiousness. Learning
