    Sorry, I don't get the way the answers are set up. Is the first one your childhood manner of dealing and the second one the adult method? Or is it something else?

    No, it's in order of preference.. or a "backup strategy" as the OP says.

    So: Which one do you do most instinctively?

    I'm somewhere between withdrawn and aggressive. Although honestly, I think these strategies are a part of my personality that I've always tried to steer away from and control, so I think I don't indulge excessively in any of them.

    I'm certain, though, that I have 0 compliant traits.

    PMs stink for that sort of thing, and vent is too crowded. AIM or Skype is the way to go.

    Under stress my first instinct is to run away. If cornered then I'll try and charm my way out of trouble. So I guess Withdrawn/Compliant describes me best.

    This fits well with my 9w1 Enneagram type, too.
