This time around my choice of avatar was quite deliberate. It's supposed to send a particular message a picture by which to interpret my words.

Most usually I tend to choose an avatar based upon my mood and a mood which I wish to project with my words. This time it was more a conscious choice based on a face I wished to put beside my words.

My avatars have a habit of being my man-crushes

<~~~Ha well I promise I don't stink. I chose mine because I loved the colors and the contrasts, and because I love skunks because they crack me up (watch some youtube videos on them and do some reading--they have the most hilarious stomping behavior and are actually very intelligent animals), and because it's an unexpected and intriguing image, which makes it almost poetic in my mind. It's also sophisticated with a weird sense of humor and oddity, which is me. But seeing as that is not explained everytime someone sees my image, I wonder what they really think when they do (ha imagining all kinds of thoughts floating through people's heads).

To answer the question, though, avatars do seem to make a difference, to a degree, when I read posts because i actually picture the avatar saying the words LOL, so I should maybe consider rethinking mine because that would mean everything I say is coming from a skunk in a white room HA!
