    Default Gauntlet 2.0 - Challenge 2 - Poll Added

Challenge: Create your own Typological inventory.

Rules: You cannot use the functions used in the MBTI, or in the Big 5 (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism). To complete this challenge, you must:
    • Use 3-4 or different dimensions to classify personalities in an appealing and interesting way
    • Explain what each dimension means
    • Create at least 6 questions per dimension (i.e., per function) so people can classify themselves (for example, with the MBTI, 6 questions that allow someone to classify themselves as sensor or intuitive)
    • Create a scoring guide so people can actually take the test
    • Write up short (1 paragraphs max) descriptions of each resulting type

Scoring: Your submission will be judged by how interesting or clever it is, how accurate it is, clarity and predictive value of questions, and accuracy of personality write-ups.

Note: Edahn created this challenge. Hence, Edahn will have to answer questions related to the challenge.

Lastly, you'll have until Friday the 24th at 8pm EST to finish this challenge.

    Good luck!

Well, this is a challenge on which I would have been an asset to any one of the teams.

Now that I've made that helpful comment, I'll just stroll along.
    Go to sleep, iguana.

Can someone please tell me what cities EST corresponds to in the US? I want to look up the timezone converter website for the deadline in my timezone (which coincidentally is also EST but on a different continent).

    Cooking up personalities:
Black Team's Recipe Book for Life and Introspection

Welcome to Black Team's Recipe Book for Life and Introspection. Our new recipe for personality assessment is here for your consumption. Do our 24 question quiz and find out what dish your personality corresponds to! (And don't forget, tomatoes are a fruit.)

Our nifty personality function test is divided up into four functions. The first one measures your inner fibre of being. This is the Vegetable-Fruit function. Those who are on the Vegetable side of this function tend to be more savoury and serious, while those who fall on the Fruit side tend to be sweeter and more humorous.

The second function measures how starchy you are. This is the Pastry-Noodles function. Those who fall on the pastry side tend to have a more intense and richer experience of the world, whereas those who fall on the Noodle side of this function tend to experience the world in a more down to earth and simpler manner.

The third function measures your level of excitability. This is the Spices-sUbtle function. Those who test as Spicy tend to be excitable and exuberant, whereas those who are sUbtle tend to be calmer and help to bring out others' natural tendencies.

The fourth function measures whether you are a day or night person. Those who are Warm are morning people and are most active and productive during this time, whereas those who are Cold are night owls and come alive at the end of the day.

    The four personality ingredients:
    Vegetables-Fruit (V-F)
    Pastry-Noodles (P-N)
    Spices-sUbtle (S-U)
    Warm-Cold (WC)

    The 16 personality dishes:

    What dish are you?

    VNUC - Green salad

Somewhat serious and crunchy, Green Salad personalities are very down to earth and know their roots. Green Salads are calm in a crisis and tend to be unflappable. They are stabilising influences in the work environment. However, if they are going to become stressed, this is most likely to occur in the morning when they are still waking up. Generally, what you see is what you get with this personality type.

    VNUW - Stir Fried Vegetables

People who have the Stir Fried Vegetables personality type tend to have a bit of bite to them underneath the serene exterior. They are not prone to flights of fancy unless they are with a Spicy personality, who will bring Stir Fried Vegetables out of their shell. This type will be very productive first thing in the morning and will prefer not to stay up late partying.

    VNSC - Soba Noodles

The Soba Noodles personality has an underlying quirkiness that may not be immediately apparent until you get to know them better. The staid exterior of Noodleness has an unexpected Spicyness to it, which means that once you get to know a Soba Noodles person, they are likely to share their hidden passionate nature. At a late night party, you may find the usually sedate and calm Soba Noodles person enthusiastically chatting away to a small group of people or perhaps joining in a Conga line through the venue.

    VNSW - Laksa

Laksa personalities have a very obvious Spiciness to their character. They are warm and cheerful and like to live a little dangerously at times. At work, however, the Vegetable Noodleness aspect of their character comes into play and they become very focused on what needs to be done, and can get a little annoyed by off-topic chatter. Laksa's are at their sparkliest best in the morning and tend to fade late at night.

    VPUC - Quiche

Quiche personalities have an external calmness and can come across as quite serious when caught in their own thoughts. However, Quiches take pleasure in enjoying the rich experiences that the world around them has to offer. They like nothing better than dinner at a good restaurant in the evening, and enjoy the finer things in life. They can struggle at getting started in the morning, and may have a habit of drinking espresso coffee in the morning.

    VPUW - Cornish Pasty

Cornish Pasty personalities can sometimes have a tendency to be traditionalist in habit, but can occasionally surprise others by behaving unexpectedly. They have a tendency to be serious and placid, but can sometimes feel things quite deeply underneath the surface. Cornish Pasties are often bright and cheery in the morning and can often take pleasure in following the same routines at this time of day. Don't mistake this for mindless routine, though - Cornish Pasties can take a rich pleasure in the day to day routines of life.

    VPSC - Sweet Potato Pie

Sweet Potato Pie personalities, like other Vegetable personality types, often have a serious exterior when interacting with others. However, the Sweet Potato aspect of this personality can have an unexpected flavour to it, which can manifest as a quirky sense of humour, which can occasionally be confused with one of the Fruit personalities. The Spicyness aspect of Sweet Potato Pies can lead them to being excitable about their particular passions in life. They enjoy staying up into the wee hours of the night, and can get grumpy if woken up too early.

    VPSW - Samosa

Samosa personalities tend to be the least serious and sedate of all the Vegetable personalities. They are often enthusiastic about trying new experiences, particularly day time activities, and others can struggle to keep up with them. At work, they work well with Garden Salads, who can keep the Samosa's occasional wildness and lack of tact in check.

FNUC - Tomato and Pasta Salad

This personality type is the most similar to the Vegetable types out of all the Fruit personalities. With a deadpan sense of humour, some people don't quite know what to make of Tomato and Pasta Salad types. Tomato and Pasta Salads tend to be somewhat serious, especially early in the day.

    FNUW - Spaghetti bolognese

Spaghetti Bolognese types are somewhat similar to Tomato and Pasta Salads. Their gentle nature make them pleasant company at work during the day and they can diffuse difficult situations with humour when necessary. They tend to fade a little in the evening.

    FNSC - Gazpacho Pasta Salad

This personality type has some unusual quirks which are often hidden from others until they get to know the Gazpacho Pasta Salad. They have a tendency to be enthusiastic and excitable in the evenings, but still enjoy the simpler things in life.

    FNSW - Penne al'arrabiata

Penne al'arrabiata personalities are sparkly with a gently wicked sense of humour that they show to people that they trust. Despite their excitability, they still prefer to lead simple lives as a way of offsetting the pressures of the outside world. They are at the brightest best in the morning.

    FPUC - Fruit Tart

Fruit Tarts have a gentle, sweet nature and enjoy the richness of the world around them. They have a calming and soothing presence. Their sense of humour is understated and can surprise those who don't know them very well. Fruit Tarts enjoy spending time in the evening with those that they care about.

    FPUW - Cherry Pie

Cherry Pie personalities have a lot of similarities to Fruit Tarts. They too have a gentle and sweet nature. However, in the workplace, they are likely to be more proactive and encourage their teammates to achieve their best than their Fruit Tart cousins. Their sense of humour tends to make them seem bubbly and cheerful to people around them.

    FPSC - Mince Pie

Mince Pie personalities enjoy the finer things in life. Their quirky and excitable nature can make them seem the life of the party in the evenings. Mince Pies are easily able to make others laugh and can sometimes be seen by others as not taking life very seriously.

    FPSW - Apple pie

Apple Pie personalities can sometimes be mistaken for Mince Pie personalities. They too enjoy rich experiences in life and easily show their enthusiasm for anything that interests them. Apple Pies like to make the most of the daylight hours and their hobbies tend to be ones that can be enjoyed the most during the day.
