Have you ever asked yourself what you want to get out of a book / article before you read it? Do you ask yourself what's important to you in a guy before you get too involved with him?

Can you try asking yourself what you want to get out of the meal before you eat it? You had an awesome response as to why you want to eat slower. The next step is remembering those reasons before each meal. Once those reasons are in your mind, you may find it easier to eat more slowly. :)

You are right!

I am going to do more planning. I think that's where I'll get more out of this goal. Cause I don't plan before I eat, I just smell the food and get hungry

Heh. To a hammer, everything is a nail. :)

Maybe only do the minimal amount of planning required to ensure you think about why you eat, before you eat? There is nothing inherently wrong with the smell of food making you realize you are hungry. You just want to create a habit where you take a moment to think about what you want out of the meal before actually chowing down.

... I know, I know. Easier said than done when you are in the thrall of hunger. I'm just throwing ideas out. Exert control of when you experience the triggers (in other words, when you put yourself in situations where you have to smell food 2-3+ hours after you last ate), you may be able to gain more control of your diet as well.

Yea you're right, I think that's my issue ...is figuring out the triggers...

It's definitely easier in theory lol

Day 25 Thursday

Daily Rate: 3/5

-Waterz
-Lots of veggies and fruit :)
-Took time to enjoy my food.

I seem to have an easier time slowing down and thinking about my food when I have something hot.

When I'm just munching...I start to just eat out of habit.

I have gotten way better at asking myself "Why am I eating this?"

It's annoying when I eat something shitty lol  I have a hard time rationalizing  Which it was not my goal...but

I think it's a good thing, cause it helps me think about moderation. Cause if I eat crap all day and I ask myself once...what I'm eating this for...I will eat better :)

I think I just have to plan more and better.

Daily Rate: 3/5

-Breathing
-Waterz
-Raw veggies

Day 27 Saturday

Daily Rate: 0/5

It was an ndt kinda day

Also I'm learning on my days off that I don't pay attention to this at all :p

Haven't decided if it's a good or bad thing.

Day 28 Sunday (today)

Daily Rate: 3/5

Water...although...it didn't seem to be enough
Veggies
Exercise

I am counting my shift at work as exercise. Reason being it was not office work. I worked a random ass 11pm-7am shift....and I sweat my butt off cleaning the whole building. Literally 8 hrs of working out...lol and I'm counting them all! :p

I was so sore the next day. Never have I cleaned so much in my life.. and I'm a J

And since then..I realized just how outta shape I am. Smh.

I am going to start stretching everyday. Its an addition to my goals...I will try to incorporate it in this week, but it's for real, come next week.
