Tyler's definetely both assertive and optimist, not compliant and reactive. He demands he gets what he wants, he doesn't have to "earn" it by pleasing his superego like a 1, 2 or 6.

You have the first male I've ever met who does'nt want to have something in common with him.

If I did'nt know you, I would ask you "Damn, are you gay?!?" but oh, wait, you are.

I agree with unsung, Tyler Durden is a 7w8 Sx/So, as I put him in my Type 7 characters list.

At the same time, Norton's character is probably a 6. Counterphobic 6 are often schysophrenic, when they combine vivid imagination, auto-sugetion and megalomany.

Yes, and selfpreservation. Sp/Sx? Seems he's a bit more counterphobic than I imagine Sp/So to be; his issues with his boss and how he handled it for example.
