In response to further comments on this thread, it's actually a 6 thing to be afraid of one's own power--to feel it, but then hesitate to use it. There's a fear of "what might happen" if they were to use full force. That's a form of self-doubt--at some level, they don't trust themselves with that power.

8s don't really experience this, so I'm not surprised that the other 8s are all saying No. Because 8s own all their power, there's no chance that it would slip out of their control, and hence there's no reason to fear it themselves.

The OP is not a core 8 issue, plain and simple.
