    @EJCC
to be fair, even the motivations of 8 and cp6 can be pretty similar.
PS: the rest of the stuff you said was pretty accurate

I view 3,7, & 8 very different because of my personal experience. Actually, I don't think anyone is 'by the book' (or at least no one I've met ). Even though things clearly resonate, I've yet to meet someone who isn't more individualistic than the box we stuff them in.

the point of the Enneagram is not to put you in a box, it's to show you the box you've already put yourself in and help you get out

I tend to see this as more 6/1, but it could work

well, glory is a bit more specifically the Social 2

    Naranjo makes it BLATANTLY obvious
    http://www.typologycentral.com/forum...ad.php?t=68300
tl;dr some themes he mentions for 2 are
    - pride
    - hedonism
    - seductiveness
    - assertiveness
    - histrionism

also note the themes for 2:
    Self Preservation 2: Egocentrism/"Me First"
ex: Paris Hilton, "Joffrey Baratheon", "Veruca Salt"
    Social 2: Ambition
ex: Bradley Cooper, "Regina George", "Achilles" "Ash Ketchum" (Naranjo even types Napoleon and Julius Caesar as Social 2s!)
    Sexual 2: Aggression and Seduction
ex: Casanova, Madonna, Eva Green's character from Dark Shadows :P (Naranjo types Scarlett O'Hara as Sexual 2, but I think she's 7w8)

^does ANY of this sound superego to you?

no, it isn't. if anything, they probably lean more on the impatient/impulsive end of the spectrum most of the time
Madonna as a 2? Since when?

I used to think she was a 7w8, but she fits Sexual 2 much better (she certainly isn't a 3, more unapologetically demanding of attention, even at the expense of sometimes doing something stupid, like putting on a fake British accent)

I think that the preconceived notion that follows "back stab" is that it's done with intent.

I am not as "loyal" as the descriptions often say. But I don't purposely go around trying to be vindictive or anything.

I choose the truth, and I don't follow unspoken rules all the time..... in doing these things...I can seem disloyal....but I don't do it to get at someone. I do it cause think it's the right thing for me at the time.

Example: I've dated someone that one of my friends dated...(was not a huge deal to my friend at the time, but I will never do that again.) I did it thinking..."I'm not going to let someone feelings of jealousy get in the way of me potentially finding true love....that would be stupid."

What I didn't think was "I'll get that b**ch." lol

    There's a difference in intent.

I'm that person that embodies pretty much everything that you hate. Might as well get used to it.
