I don't think So/Sx is as unusual for 5s as people make out. I imagine so many 5s struggle to see themselves as Sp-last, mainly because they're still extremely solitary and in need of space.

I think so is about community, and that doesn't have to mean being social; it could for example involve belonging to some exclusive culture.
Being cultured seems to be a way of tapping so, and this doesn't limit itself to being social/talkative/gregarious.

If I'm right about enneagram, it's ridiculously not-rare for my functions type. But I might need to flip the wing and core. Still, I don't think that would be that weird. I think Ne goes pretty well with the nervous energy of 6/7, to be honest.

I think the problem is I'm not exactly an optimist, but I'm definitely some kind of pain-averse kind-of idealist. I say kind-of, because it's not the 1-ish genuine perfectionistic idealism, it's more like this tendency to think you can get basically everything you want without having to suffer for it if the world isn't stupid/a frustration with when it doesn't go along with this plan.
A feeling that if you knew the answer, you'd not have to grow through suffering, but rather would just get what you desired no questions.
