you're no fun
while I agree that the significance of the tritype is exaggerated, all humans have anger (gut triad) fear (head triad) and shame (heart triad) and it would make sense that these feelings would manifest themselves in one way or another the same way they do in the dominant type. I think that's why many professional consultants of the enneagram use the tritype and consider it legitimate
To be blunt, not sure typology in general is the best way to go about running your entire life and I have less belief in enneagram than MBTI.

Who knows how accurate it is, but tests show me a tri-type of 7/4/9. I read earlier that this should be considered the "identity crises" tri-type, and thats probably not too far off! lol.

I read that the 749 is the "gentle spirit" ... and I don't entirely agree with that title, maybe I have the wrong tri-type though.

I read that the 749 or 479 or 947 etc, tends to be health oriented. A 479 was a psychologist, a 749 was a nurse, and a 947 was a massage therapist.
You can't flip it around like that, since you have a core type as a starting point. This is your dominant fear and set of coping strategies since the other two come into play when the first set of coping strategies doesn't work or isn't applicable.

Flip what around? the whole 749 479 974 etc. ? I wasn't trying to flip MY tritype around.. I just read that people with the numbers 479 in any arrangement of tritype tend to be health oriented. Like I said, it was one persons observation (not mine) unless your referring to somethng else?

Interpreter: a combination of introspection, intellectualism and tendency to dabble in different points of view.

Atlantean: a resident of Atlantis, metaphorically speaking - a "deep sea diver" who has a certain buoyancy and "lightness" about themselves.

That's my rationale, at least... Feel free to whack me in the head if I'm too off the mark.

I can agree with the interpreter part, but as for Atlantean hmm?? lol idk about that, I'm a 594 and i don't think I come off as 'light' at all :p but maybe I'm wrong??

I thought the Nine would bring a more "live and let live" aspect, though I'm no expert. That's why I used both titles.
