    Here's a source for why six is the most common type:



    I agree with what unsung posted from PersN.

    4 and 5 do seem like they would be pretty rare, while 3, 6, and 9 would be more common. 3 and 6 seem highly likely not only in SJs (the most common personality type) but throughout other types as well. 9 also seems to occur in almost every introverted type, especially introverted feeling types (not Fi, people who are feelers who are introverted).
