I only know him from star trek.

The word 'only' doesn't do justice to a character of such a great show.

However, since I only know him Star Trek I am forced to type him from the character he played on it.

I would say ESTJ 9w8.

This is a good point. It is a well known fact that actors often play roles that are totally unlike their real selves. Not always, but often. Part of the fun of acting is getting to be "different" than you really are.

I can evaluate Jonathan Frakes from his direction style. I've paid attention to how some of the Star Trek episodes are directed. Very action -orientated, straightforward, with some development of the characters. Somewhat blunt, but not entirely so. ESTJ fits the theme the best.

Edit: well, "can" or "can" evaluate.. I can't claim any ability in evaluating.. but the evaluation is there nonetheless!

Sorry missed this.

It's not only about acting. It's probably our sub-conscience trying get a hold of or 'live' our weaker functions.

I thougth it's nice someone brings this up again, but seems it's an old thread I already voted ESTJ on.

Jonathan Frakes directed Star Trek episodes were usually among the better ones. Sometimes there was a measure of unnecessary stiffness. But yeah, I count him among the better ST:TNG directors.
