Yes the debate is over. Done. He was the PERFECT person to be doing what he was doing. Detail and situationally oriented and yet always looking how those details and situations impact humanity.

I don't think the 'debate is over' because MBTI isn't a 'settled science' by any means. I could easily make an argument for him being an INFJ as well. It's just that from my point of view I think INFP fits better based on the most general understanding of the types.

You lack conviction. He is an INFP don't make arguments when you know the truth. INPF's and INFJ's are so radically different. A single letter changes everything because it isn't about the letters, it's about functions, the letters operate more as a code/language and the meaning of the letters isn't intuitive. Changing one letter can change more than changing two letters, etc...
