That's the one that would piss me off the most.
Another more generalized phrasing that tends to piss me off is on the line of "let me show you how it's done" in terms of a given task - when I have not asked for help.

I think in terms of (don't expect one to) 'shrug off public humiliation' it's actually ENTJ that comes to mind. While it may stick or even wound some other types (like the sensitive INFP) I think the ENTJ would most take it as a big deal as they care so much about their public image and and hold a grudge and just wait for the day they can get you back.
I think some introvert types just aren't very invested in their public image (i.e. they don't care) or else are so shy they always expect to be embarassed somehow and it's not a shock when it happens. Extrovert types who enjoy being social and have an investment in their public image (or popularity) can bounce back from public humililation or even laugh at it depending on their type. But, then you have the extroverts who care about their image and moreover care about maintaining a proper image 'worthy of respect' (so that rules out ENFP, ESTP, ESFP). I kinda put ESTJ and ENTJ up there as the most public image conscious in the classic sense. You know, I think ENFJ is also very invested in their public image and would also be pretty pissed and rankled by public humiliation and maybe even cry -- however, they could probably recover more easily because of their understanding of people and interpersonal skills and the fact they can get psychic nourishment from the condolences of supporters (NFs really do feed off energy, and not necessarily in a vampiric sense). Plus, I don't see ENFJ as the type to hold grudges (but I could be wrong) ESTJ would just be moritified but I think recover by being straight and narrow again and kinda hit people over the head with their righteousness. But it's the ENTJ as the one I see being vindicative.

Don't ask me (INFJ) to do a good job without being emotionally involved/invested.
I can detach, but then I just don't care and won't lift a finger to help. I've tried and tried, but when I shut off my attachments, I shut down. |

One lesson I have learned is that I will never again trust an ENFP to meet an important deadline.
If there is a deadline, I will ask someone else. I had a guy help me with his recording studio. We missed the deadline not by days or weeks, but 2 months! Though another ENFP I know was on time for a lunch appointment with me recently, so I guess they can't all be that bad. |
