Default The MATHMO quiz

Ok. As you may have concluded by both my signature and avatar, I am very much into mathematics.

So one day, on the lighthearted side, I found this quiz, which measures how much of a "mathmo" (if you did not know, a term for an individual with a deep interest in mathematics, occasionally referred to as "mathie") :

MATHMO-Test

Enjoy.

I wanna know how to catch any lion in the dessert.... Maybe lions are really into dessert. Or maybe a gazelle-chunk, zebra swirl ice cream.

I am not a mathie. But I am uncoordinated/forgetful and stuff and do enjoy board games: 15 points.

Mathmo test result

You have a score of 52 mathmo points.

I love Gödel, Escher, Bach, and bought several Springer-Verlag books during the time of the "yellow sale."

I even posted a stupid mathematical limerick on this site.

If you own a copy of windows chess, or ever play it on an airplane, I think the computers there are exceedingly easy to beat.

I'm not good at math, but I took the test anyway.

16 points.

That's not too bad, judging from other NF's results. Thankfully, some of those questions were about theories, logic, and grammar, so I understood them.

I doubt that.

I was one, however, in undergrad.

I noticed that too. Very nice. (And since lions cannot swim well, you could drop them in a root beer float. Where upon they become a sinkin, not a lyin.)

I got a 32. But I refuse to say which questions I earned points from.
