You know the score: you've gotta spend the rest of your life on a desert island, alone and for some curious reason you have a stereo with you. What 10 songs would you choose to get you through the rest of your life?
Here are mine: 1. Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart 2. The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps 3. Samuel Barber's Agnus Dei performed by King's College Choir 4. Tindersticks - If She's Torn 5. Mull Historical Society - Ugly Buildings 6. Jane's Addiction - Jane Says 7. Led Zeppelin - Your Time Is Gonna Come 8. Pink Floyd - San Tropez 9. Sergei Nikitin - Yesli u vas nietu doma 10. Edith Piaf - Le bleu de tes yeux Off you go... edit - it's gotta be individual songs and not albums!! No cheating!!

Ah drat, you reminded me of Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode - I'd want to sneak that one along too. Actually it could probably replace Tindersticks on my list. I also nearly put Wouldn't It Be Nice? by the Beach Boys on there, too.
And YLJ, you also reminded me that I'd want Chant Down Babylon by Bob Marley, too. Any others that almost made it, but not quite? Y'all can add those too if you like, as an adendum!

Love at the Five and Dime and Dance A Little Closer by Nanci Griffith would nearly make the list, too. Actually, one of those could replace Floyd. Heresy, I know, but hey.
I once wrote a song too for someone. I've got a recording of it that I might put onto like, some kinda sound equivalent of photobucket (if I can find one) so y'all can see what you think, if you're interested...?

Well it's just sound, no video or anything. I recorded it at a friend's sorta amateur home studio. edit - found a place to upload it, it's here if anyone wants to hear it, but be gentle cos I never had lessons or anything
![]() Maverick you remind me of Meshuggah, there's one they did I really love but I can't remember the title of it... argh! It'll come to me though... as long as I can find the CD it's on and the sleeve is still legible!!
