NT types have a problem of being honest in situations where other people would lie or inflate the truth. I remember a story where some woman cornered an INTP and asked how he was in bed. He replied that he was "probably average." Needless to say, he didn't get laid. Women don't expect to hear your honest valuation of yourself in every circumstance.

To lie is illogical.

More importantly, learn from people like cutthegrass and accept that whether or not you agree, some women will find you attractive. Unfortunately, they'll find you needy and whiney if you don't agree.

A friend told me that once. He said I wasn't repulsively-ugly, and that some would certainly like my appearance, but I am, at best, average.

While my appearance is a known area of inferiority, some (including you) have made my day with off-hand compliments that you might not have even realized were anything more to me than observations. On those points, I do feel appreciated, and I thank you.
