If time travel were possible, to what time in the past or future would you go? Also, would you interact with the events around you or not? Rembember that the butterfy effect will be an issue, so don't be surprised if things are different when you return to the present.
Personally, I would go back to the time of the dinosaurs to see what really killed them off. As an INTP, I am an observer not an interactor. Therefore, I wouldn't be interested in changing anything, but simply analysing the situation to gain knowledge of the events. Where would you go, and what would you do?

I will have some other ideas later; but one of my first tasks would be (after learning the right languages) to go back and find/watch Jesus, to see who and what he really was, and probably watch Paul as well.

If I were to time travel at all, it would only be under the condition that it would not interfere with my having met and married Wallie. Anyways, I would either go to the time when Jesus lived - specifically to see Him in human form - or to Pentecost, to experience it for the first time with everyone else.

Be careful around Paul, Jennifer!
He's rumored to be a misogynist with paranoid tendencies.

I'd visit them all...all times past and future. I'd probably check out the near future first though for practical reasons. Traveling in time to the distant past or distant future can have unexpected destinations as to the location in space upon arrival.

In human history terms, I'd be most interested in going places where I could clear up historical confusion, and places where I could see what people were actually thinking when they did certain things.
In geological/astronomy terms, I'd probably go back and see stuff like how the earth and other planets actually formed, what the first life forms would actually have been like, check out non-fossilized species, or confusing fossilized ones. If butterfly effect was an issue, I'd make another trip back to keep myself from interfering, if time travel did allow me to change the future in those ways, it seems likely that I could still keep my samples and information from the travels, which would be quite useful for people, if they believed that I had actually done it. Edit: Among the historical stuff would be things like whether Jesus existed, and what else actually happened to get Christianity started. Something similar would also apply to Muhammed, Buddha. If I could also travel back and check out violent activities without anything happening to me, I'd want to check out who blew up that major temple in Iraq a few years ago, who decided to start the fighting originally that is continuing now, and what the thought process was behind it, and other events that I haven't thought of at this moment. |

I would go back to 1980, and make a lot of money on investments. I might also get into BBSing, C programming, and Duran Duran. (I'm already into the last two a bit.) And I could relive a lot of important events and watch people's reactions to them.
