I was reading something interesting the other day and thought I'd turn it into a little game.
What age group has quickly become the worst (in some cases overall and in others, a dramatic increase and generally both) in; 1) Dramatic increase of binge drinking 2) High suicide rates 3) High drug use, including overdoses 4) Most new AIDS cases reported 5) Largest increase in non-natural deaths (violence, drugs, etc) As a bonus, guess which age class has improved the most in every one of these categories relative the previous generation, also in the same age group? (spoiler; The first is 35-54, (35-44, 45-54 together) The second is 15-19.) |

Wondering if each of these points refers to a different group. I cannot back this up, but the first thing that comes in mind is 30-35, or maybe 30-40 for all the above points.
A wild guess for the previous generation would be maybe early twenties (for all the above, as well) |

Well, I know my generation dropped the teen pregnancy rates. So I'm guessing we improved in all of those areas. I'm 21, so anyone around my age or younger, I'm assuming.
And mid-life folks got worse. I'm thinking 40's. |

I always heard that divorced men with no children and a bad job were the most likely to commit suicide. By bad job I mean one that they don't really like and that has little chance of advancement.

That's a good question though. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a difference. The moral bankrupty of the certain generations seems largely centralised around the US. Be curious to know how universal this effect is.

Do you know if we've changed much (from Americans) in terms of demographics? The last census data came out last week - it was all over the news. Now it's all about the Mighty Canadian Dollar. Oh that sounds wrong.
