Wow, someone who's heard of Quicksand and likes them. Awesome. Also digging the ATDI/TMV/Sparta stuff; I like ATDI best, and between TMV and Sparta I like Sparta much more.

Thumbs up for all of the Keane mentions in this thread too.

Here are ten artists I'm really into at the moment:

1. Finch. AWESOME. (Listen to What is to Burn, the CD and the song)
2. Ryan Farish (relaxing New Age)
3. Foo Fighters (I'm really discovering this band, and liking The Colour and the Shape, esp. My Hero and Everlong)
4. Weezer (hated them first, now I really like them)
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers (liked them, then hated, now I like them again)
6. Jack's Mannequin (I really like the song Dark Blue, among others)
7. Modest Mouse (hated them first, now I really like them)
8. Anberlin (new nu-metal angst that I like nowadays, esp. Feel Good Drag)
9. The Ataris (awesome)
10. Interpol, just because.

At this moment:

KMFDM-Incredible beat to all their music, just something that's very different from almost anything else.
Oomph-German NDH. A slightly catchier and less heavy/intense Rammstein.
Tool-been listening to the Anemea album mostly.
AC/DC-Black Ice...best album in a long time.
Metallica-Death Magnetic...best album in 17 years, possibly longer.
Rammstein-German NDH. Fantastic...fast, heavy and loud.
Lacuna Coil-She has an amazing voice.
Seether-Old bootlegs from someone who recorded them when they were much less popular....sounds very much like Nirvana.
Alice In Chains-The only band I listen to ALL the time, and unlike everything else, I never get tired of it.
KoRn-Heavy, crude, great stuff...

Nice variety I've got going....

I couldn't see myself being "really into" ten artists "atm". Ten artists is about as many artists I really listen to in a year.
For the past couple months I was only listening to Eminem, but the feeling started to die out... so I've started listening to Ludacris, Eazy E, and 50 Cent, which is almost just as good. Though I still listen to Eminem. I'm glad now that Relapse 2 wasn't released in November.
