Typology Central Art Contest


A whobity whabity?
ART CONTEST! Compete with this forum's artists to win a surprise prize.


The Categories
  • Best painting
  • Best drawing
  • Best decorated cookie/cookies
  • Best decorated gingerbread house
  • Best Short Story (5,000 words or less)
  • Best Poem

How it's all going to work

The forum is going to pick 3 judges to judge the preliminary round of the contest. These judges will go through the submissions and pull out the top 2 or 3 pieces from each category. These top pieces will be posted with polls for the forum to vote on. The piece that gets the highest votes for it's category wins.

If any one category does not recieve at a least 4 submissions it will be eliminated.

RUN FOR JUDGE: Run/Volunteer for Art Contest Judge Here

TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK: You will PM it or a picture of it to the three judges. DO NOT POST IT ON THE FORUM. PM IT TO THE JUDGES. The forum is not going to know who made the art that they are voting for.

Your visual art will be judged by:

Craftsmanship
Originality
Aesthetics

Your written art will be judged by:

Originality
How entertaining, moving, or funny it is


The Dates
  • Run for judge by Sunday December 14th.
  • Vote for which judges you want by December 15th.
  • Submit a picture of your cookies and gingerbread houses by December 19th.
  • Judges will post top houses and cookies on December 21st.
  • Vote on your favorite cookies and gingerbread houses by December 22nd.
  • Submit all other work by January 5th.
  • Judges will post top work from all other categories on January 12th.
  • Vote on all other work by January 22nd.


The Rules
  • Judges cannot compete in the art contest.
  • Participants may not submit more than one piece per category.
  • Participants are not to let forum members know which pieces are theirs.

12/16/08
Your judges are TenINsFJ, kyuuei, and Gauche.
You can now begin private messaging them pictures of your decorated cookies and gingerbread houses and you have until the 19th to do so. Please title your PMs with either "Cookie submission" or "Gingerbread house submission" Good luck!

12/17/08
Thanks to the brilliant idea of one of our judges we are going to change things up for the next round so...

All drawing, painting, short story, and poem submissions should be PMed to me Sunshine for me to send to the judges that way the judges will not know who they are judging.
