New NetFlix series opening next week (all episodes), by the Wachowskis and J. Michael Straczynski.
It was kind of cool watching the trailer and seeing Naveen Andrews and Doona Bae, at least. Also, looks like Jamie Clayton is in the cast; not sure of her acting talent, she's trans and was a makeup artist and model when I ran across her name originally a few years back.
Critic response currently seems mixed -- sounds like they only released three episodes for review, and generally they think it's taking too long to build with eight different characters. So it remains to be seen whether there is payoff further into the series. However, knowing Straczynski, I think he's good -- he's got experience in TV and comics with multiple-character stories and typically does pay off decently once you get into whatever story he's been creating. I'm hoping his story sense might lend necessary structure and rationality to the Wachowski visuals since sometimes they can wander off the reservation...
